Thank you very much for our stay, the hospitality was amazing and your  recommendations were awesome. We really enjoyed Nin and the bike hire,  as well as the apartments. You should recommend Cafe Brazil as a great  bar to your future guests, down by the sea organ in the old town.

Hello again! we wanted to tell you thank you for everything that you did for us while we were on vacation at your place! we had such a great time and LOVED the apartments! We are planning to return to Zadar in April of 2012 and we are definatley coming back to your place ! I am sure IILEANA is laughing at that as she couldnt believe that we plan so far in advance! Tell her we said "Hello from Washington state!" and that we tried to make Lemoncello and the first batch was pretty good! although not as good as hers! Hope all is well and we will be keeping in touch as your apartments are the only place to stay while in Zadar! :)

Stayed for three nights at petra and i have to say acommodation was wonderful. The host Ilena was was very kind and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. The accommodation was situated in a nice quiet area with great restaurants and bars nearby.

Sweden – Stockholm

As many other reviews say, Ileana, the live-in manager of the apartment block, is the main reason why staying at Apartmani Petra is so enjoyable.
We stayed in A6, a 2-bed apartment, for 4 nights for less than 40 euro a night (off-season price and extremely good value for money). We arrived on the late Ryanair flight from Stockholm so Ileana organised a pizza delivery for us.
During our stay she walked us to the beach and the bus stop to show us where to go, recommended places to go, played with our daughter and, because it was my partner's birthday, took me on a taxi trip to buy roses and cooked special birthday pancakes, which were delicious!
The location is good for getting down to the beach, but it was too early in the year for us to sunbathe and swim (though it was over 20 degrees and sunny every day). To get to the old town requires a walk and a bus, which was OK but felt a bit too long sometimes if you didn't time it right. I think the buses get more regular in the summer.
A taxi back to the apartments was about 90 kuna and was pretty quick - take a business card with you and learn the name of the pizzeria close to the apartments (sort of pronounced Shimi, good, large child-friendly place which we went to twice) and the driver will find the apartments without a problem.
The apartment building was fine - free internet at a computer downstairs, small garden with a swing and olive trees out the back and very peaceful. Our 2-bed apartment was at the top of the building, and we had a beautiful sea view.
Rooms were very clean, bathrooms excellent and the kitchen well equipped. The only real minus point was the size - the bedrooms were small (but both had good wardrobes) and though there was a TV in the kitchen there wasn't enough room for a sofa, which would have been a bonus.
Zadar itself was a great town to visit - our daughter loved the sea organ and we went back to listen to it three or four times! There's plenty to look at and great cafes and restaurants which meant that we had no problem filling a four-day break. Bit of advice, Zadar shops close early on Sunday afternoon so if you arrive late on Saturday like we did, get your grocery shopping done on Sunday morning!

Would definitely recommend staying here!

We were welcomed by Ielana at the busstop; she walked us to the apartements. She was worried that we were lost if we walked by ourselves! We stayed in studio S3, with some view at the sea. Studio was clean and very well equipped. Large balcony.
There is also a closet downstairs with other things like hair dryer which you can use if you need it.
Ileana gave us suggestions of things to do and she's allways there if you need something.
From Petra you can easily take the bus to the Old Town; it's also possible to walk.

We spent a very pleasent week in this nice, clean and hospitality apartman in 2009 Autumn.
Kolanovic family is very friendly, we felt us in this "house" like home :)
Thanks the homely care to the nice Ilena, she is the best "hostess" who we have ever met with.
We recommend this apartman to everybody, every time!!!
