Can't say enough good things about Apartmani Petra. Great location, super clean, huge apartments. We got a 2 bedroom apt for just the 2 of us and it was so nice to have two bathrooms and bedrooms so we could spread out. The kitchens are great. The owner is wonderful. My only regret is that we didn't spend more nights there!!!
Oh - and make sure you get directions... I mistakenly printed out googlemaps directions and they were wrong so we drove around for an hour trying to find the place.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a few days and we both loved it. The apartment and rooms were in amazing condition with lots of extras (kitchen area, remote controlled air conditioning, a balcony with a great view, patio tables and a place to dry our laundry). Also, the hostess was amazing. Upon arrival, we received very friendly greetings. She welcomed us to her apartment complex and served us delicious home-made cherry brandy and figs from her fig tree. She was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended.

We loved everything about this place and would definitely recommend it! We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment for two nights and Ileana made us feel right at home!
Don't hesitate to pick this place if you're in Zadar!

We cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. Our hostess Ileana welcomed us with open arms and cherry brandy! We stayed in studio 3 which was spacious and spotless! The apartments are very close to the beach, bus stop, supermarket and a very nice pizza place! The huge balcony overlooks the gardens and was lovely to sit out on. The kitchen area is well equipped and spotlessly clean. Ileana was the most helpful and charming hostess - nothing was ever a problem to her. Very good value for money, probably the nicest apartments in Zadar!! 4 STAR RATING!

We stayed in Apartments Petra for one week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in apt 4 which is on the top floor and so we had a lovely view of the sea and each evening we could watch the sunset from our balcony! The host Ileana was very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Whatever you needed, you could just knock on her door and she'd do her best to help you. We even got to try her home made Maraschino - traditional local liqueur made of cherries. The only down side was that it was quite noisy - the walls would let the sound carry from other apartments and the staircase. But in our experience this is usually the case in apartments like this, nothing that a good pair of earplugs at night couldn't sort out. Our bed was a bit squeaky too so we just moved to the fold out sofa in the living room wich was very very comfy! Overall we would definitely recommend this place as it's affordable and of good standard with a lovely host!

On arrival to this apartment early evening we were met by a very happy and friendly owner of the apartments-Ileana. She gave us a wee shot of her homemade cherry brandy and lots of maps and info on buses and how to get where. In the room we were given sparkling water, apple juice, and fresh coffee!
One evening Ileana made a traditional croatian grill outside and we had a great time!! so so friendly-its the best apartments we have ever stayed in. It is a very short walk to the sea and bus stop in to the old town. There is also a supermarket and good pizzareia near by.
we stayed here for 1 week and would def come back again!! the apartment is really nice and so are the surrounding gardens and streets.
We couldnt have asked for more!!!.....PERFECT.....FIVE STARS!!
Thank you Ileana we will be advising all our family and friends to stay here too!

Ilena was the perfect hostess from the moment she met us ,she made us feel welcome with homemade cherry brandy and gave us information about Zadar and recommend a local restaurant which was very handy, great for food and excellent value.
The apartment was a good size ,the best Air-conditioning of our trip an extra bonus about the room was a large balcony with excellent views of the shore and sunsets glistening on the sea. There was also a small well equipped kitchen and bathroom with a great shower. And everything was spotlessly clean.
Nothing was too much trouble for Ileana even offering to do our ironing. I think guests of Ileana feel more like family as she invited us all to a barbeque she was having for friends, which was a wonderful night had by all.
Our teenage children loved the free internet in the reception which was a huge bonus for them.
All in all a great holiday and a wonderful hostess with a great sense of humor with wonderful accommodation, best in Zadar.

We landed fairly late into Zadar Airport, 9:30, and so decided to get a taxi out to the apartments. On arrival, we were given a very friendly welcome by Ileana. We were invited into her flat for an introduction to Zadar and general welcome. This being our first time in Croatia, this was extremely helpful and we felt at home straight away. My mother suffers from coeliac disease, and she told us straight away about how to go about getting gluten free food (this turned out to be no problem whatsoever, restaurants in Zadar were very accomodating), before showing us our apartment. The apartment was large, clean and comfortable, with an absolutely beautiful view as we discovered in the morning from the balcony. The next morning Ileana showed us the way to the bus stop, from where it was easy to get into Zadar's old centre. It seems like accomodation near the old centre is expensive and hard to come by. It was a reasonable walk to the bus stop, maybe 500m, but on the pleasant days we spent there this was not a problem at all. If we hadn't got a taxi, it may have been quite difficult to find at night, but I'm sure Ileana would happily help with that. It took us maybe half an hour in total, walking and bus to get to the old town. There is a very handy travel agency, Terra, next to the bus stop that arranges tours. On leaving, Ileana gave us a CD with Croatian folk music on it, which was a nice gesture. Overall, we had a great stay and would highly recommend staying here.
