The city of Zadar is easily accessible
by land, sea or by air. The extensive
road infrastructure allows easy connections
to other large Croatian cities. Zadar
has experienced a recent growth in
new tourist and business perspective
after the completion of the modern
highway, Zagreb-Split (A1). From downtown
Zadar it takes approximately three
hours to reach the capital of Croatia
(Zagreb) via the new highway or by
hydro-powerboat to the North of Croatia.
A ferry and tourist harbor is situated
right on the peninsula of Zadar. A
direct ferry line between Zadar and
Ancona in Italy is available throughout
the year. Zadar (ZAD) airport is only
9 kilometers outside of the city.
The Airport has daily connections
between several Croatian cities including
Zagreb International airport (Pleso).
Low budget airline carriers such as
Ryanair, Germanwings, Inter Sky and Axis Airways have connections between Zadar and
many European destinations.
